Founded in 1977, TPG (Transports Publics Genevois) is an autonomous state owned transport company, in charge of all aspects of public mobility in the state of Geneva and on cross border operations (CH <-> F). The company has a workforce of over 1’800 employees. TPG ownes around 100 trams, 100 trolleybuses and 200 buses.
In 2017, the company will take into service 12 flashcharging electric buses (a brand new technology developed in cooperation with ABB) and 1 autonomous bus. Every year, tpg carries over 200’000’000 passengers.
