Today in the Forum Mobilité in Geneva, Mr. Denis Berdoz, Director General of AVENUE consortium member TPG presented the vision for Geneva Mobility 2030 and the role of Autonomous Vehicles in Public Transport.

On the 19th and the 26th of May 2021, the AVENUE consortium held the 7th General Meeting of the project on the Zoom video conferencing platform. This meeting was attended by all AVENUE consortium partners and includes the new partners representing the 2 new replicator sites “Sion” and “Esch-sur-Alesch” as well as the AVENUE advisory board.

On the 22nd of April 2021 Prof. Dimitri Konstantas (AVENUE Coordinator) has presented the AVENUE project results at the third European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2021). The presentation was titled “Deployment of public transportation services with autonomous vehicles: Lessons learnt from the Belle-Idée site”
Furthermore, the AVENUE consortium has also organized a virtual exhibition stand presenting various results of the project.
On Tuesday 26th of January 2021, Prof Danielle Attias (CentraleSupélec), AVENUE’s Scientific Coordinator, presented the project at the Bus & Car Magazine Webinar.

Representing H2020 AVENUE, project coordinator Prof. Dimitri Konstantas took part of the digital workshop organised by the PAV consortium and shared insights from the AVENUE project on how public authorities can get started with setting up effective pilot projects with autonomous shuttles within public transportation, gathering practical insights on related challenges.

On the 29th and 30th of October 2020, the AVENUE consortium held the 6th General Meeting of the project on the Zoom video conferencing platform. Various topics were discussed including the integration of the 2 new replication sites.
A life on-line demo from TPG, at the under development Belle-Idee site, showed us that autonomous vehicles for door-to-door public transport are practically there.
On the 1st of October 2020, Prof. Dimitri Konstantas (H2020 AVENUE Coordinator) presented the project at the European Commission’s Urban Mobility Days 2020.
