Want to learn about the public policy advances in Europe for the faster introduction of autonomous vehicle services in Public Transportation? In the Mobilités Magazine n°46, proposals of the removal of the safety-driver in tests with these vehicles from 2021 and the increase in operational speed to a maximum of 60km/h on certain roads are presented. The scientific coordinator of the AVENUE Project, Prof. Danielle ATTIAS, indicates the project’s proposals & advances along with their potential for the future of services with autonomous shuttles as a complement to public transportation. The article specifies some major steps from the first worldwide experimentation on the Confluence district, to the experimentation of the Parc Ol in the most complex environment that exists, as well as how H2020 AVENUE project helped making a technological leap at Lyon pilot site by connecting Décines tram station to the Olympic Park Lyonnais on open routes, in interaction with traffic lights.

Des navettes autonomes pour Sales-Lentz

La société Sales-Lentz, spécialisée dans le transport de personnes, a acquis 2 navettes se déplaçant sans conducteurs qui seront mises en service courant septembre.
Dans le but d’assurer un tronçon non desservi et consistant d’environ 5 km, la société a en effet commandé des navettes n’ayant nul besoin de pilote, de volant, ou de pédales de freins. La commune qui sera la destination du nouveau moyen de transport n’a cependant pas encore été révélée.

En operatør med joystick skal stå klar til at overtage styringen i tilfælde af, at den selvkørende bus fra Navya svigter, eller hvis farlige situationer opstår, når den efter planen skal køre i Nordhavn.
